| With the development of automotive technology and continuous improvement of consumer's demands for the automotive performance, electronic information technology has become an important driving force for the progress and upgrade of automobile industry. The electronic degree is considered as an important indicator of a country's automobile industry level. Under such a background, automotive electronic industry was brought forward. The development of automobile electronic industry has realized automobile's electronic, informatization, intelligentization and networking, and it is going in the direction of environmental protection, safety and comfort. China is one of the biggest automobile producing and consuming countries in the world, and the scale of automotive electronic industry is on the rise. Under the guidance of series of national industrial policies, the governments at all levels are actively adjusting the industrial structure, optimizing the industrial development environment and enhancing the competitiveness of the industry.This paper firstly reviews the research status of automotive electronic industry and industrial competitiveness, and then explains the background of the development of automotive electronic industry and industrial characteristics, and it also defines the content of automotive electronic industry and analyzes automotive industry profiles both domestic and abroad. The paper summarizes the development of automotive electronic industry of Wuhu City, and uses the SWOT analysis method and GEMN evaluation model to analyze the competitivness of automotive electronic industry in Wuhu City, drawing the conclusion that the competitivness of Wuhu automobile electronic industry is above the average level. Thus the problems in the development of Wuhu automotive electronic industry have been identified, such as small industry scale, the imperfect system of specialization, relatively poor industry network, poor autonomous innovation ability for core products, and incomplete industry development environment, which is useful to propose some pertinent strategies to enhance industrial competitiveness from the aspects of upgrading the industrial scale, establishing regional innovation network, establishing R & D platform to increase innovation capacity and improving the environment. |
