| In textile production, the majority of warp yarn should be sized before weaving except twisting filament yarn, textured yarn, single fiber filament and the network wire in a high degree. Sizing is so important in the weaving preparation that it decided the efficiency of weaving and the quality and grade of the product. Adhesive has three types which were starch, PVA and polyacrylic acid, but they also have their respective defects. The inadequacies of the starch slurry are that to many fiber and yarn the adhesion performance is insufficient, the film-forming property is hard and brittle. When using starch slurry, the slurry viscosity is high and unstable and it will consume large amounts of grain in the production. The pollution of PVA slurry is well known and consumed a large amount of oil resources. Nowadays, using less or no PVA has become the inevitable trend in the developing of sizing. Polyacrylic acid slurry is expensive, high cost, inconvenience on storage and transport and also has some in-itating odor. So developing new kind of biomass slurry instead of PVA could make sizing more environmental and save oil resource. It also could save grain when it alternative starch. It is the bounden duty of science textile workers.Today, cellulose ethers whose raw materials were linter have been used a lot and the cellulose ethers using stick as raw materials were reported little in the literature. This paper made use of hemp stick to develop two kinds of stick cellulose ethers (No.l and NO.2). Then the viscosity, moisture absorption of serosal and abrasion resistance of the serosa were studied. The production between NO.1and NO.2was different and the technical indicators were not the same.No.1had small viscosity, good soaking and poor coating in the sizing process.No.2had high viscosity, poor soaking, good coating and thick serosa in the sizing process. By the means of compounding No.1and No.2with rational proportion and then reached effect which sizing got both good soaking and coating.This paper chose two kind of hemp sticks cellulose ether slurry to compound with different proportions, and the viscosity, thermal stability, moisture absorption of serosal and abrasion resistance of the slurry in different ratio were testing. According to the testing results, the sizing experiment of CJ14.6tex was done which was chosen several ratios, then strength and elongation and abrasion resistance of sizing were testing. The results showed that the cellulose ethers which were compounding with different proportions had good water solubility, miscibility and viscosity stability. It also made the yarn more wearable after sizing. If it could be used in sizing, it would have a broad prospect. |
