The embedded co-cured composite damping structure has a wide applicationprospect in aerospace and aeronautical industries. There mechanical properties afterhydrothermal environment treatment and manufacturing process are the key for theall-weather aviation equipment. In this paper, a set of process route and methods areexplored to manufacture the embedded co-cured composite perforated dampingstructure.The membrane forming process, the brush coating process and the transitionprocess between layers are used to manufacture the embedded co-cured compositedamping structure. The moisture absorption, the shear property and the dampingproperty before and after moisture absorption treatment, the damping property indifferent temperature are studied in detail. The main innovations are listed as thefollowing:(1) Combined the brush coating process with the membrane forming process, anew method to manufacture the embedded co-cured composite damping structure isexplored by using the transition process between layers.(2) The moisture absorption of the embedded co-cured composite dampingstructure specimens is explored in detail firstly.The relation of hygroscopic rate withthe thickness of damping layer is found.(3) The shear property of embedded co-cured composite damping structure isobtained, and the mechanical property between layers before and after moistureabsorption treatment are analyzed and studied deeply.(4) By combination of the moisture absorption experiment with the dampingexperiment, the relationship of damping property before and after moisture absorptiontreatment for an embedded co-cured composite damping structure with the viscoelasticfilm thickness is investigated in detail.(5) Using a hot and humid environment box, the damping property of embeddedco-cured composite damping structure in the different temperature environment isexplore, and the relationship of damping property with temperature is found. The conclusion will provide reference for the all-weather application of embedded co-curedcomposite damping structure.
