Study On The Project Management Of Updating Project In Round Bars Finishing Line,Long Product Mill, Baosteel

Based on the "Project of Optimizing the Long Product Production System, Baosteel" in "the eleventh five-year" about the steel and iron development project of Baosteel, as well as the request of updating the long product in Baosteel, the long product mill implemented the long product necessary improvement project,"Round Bars Finishing Line Updating" is one of five sub-projects. This project is a typical engineering project, involving a lot of project management knowledge. This paper researches the project using theoretical knowledge of project management.The full-text is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter is introduction, whose main purpose of is to advance questions, definitude research ideas and methods. This chapter mainly describes the background of this research, the significance, the methods and the main content. Chapter II presents an overview of the Long product mill of Baosteel, including it’s organizational structure, scope of business, the human resources situation and the state of development in recent years, and so on. Chapter III outlines the theoretical knowledge of project management. Acting as the theoretical basis of this article, it focuses primarily on the conception, the five procedures, and the nine project management knowledge of project management, and so on. The fourth chapter expatiates the initiation of the Project Management of Updating Project in Round Bars Finishing Line, Long Product Mill, Baosteel(PRBFL), which mainly discussed the necessity and feasibility of the project, and describes the organizational structure of the project. Chapter V expatiates the plan of PRBFL, including the program objectives, scope plan, schedule plan, quality plan, procurement plan and the changes for plan. Chapter VI expatiates the control and implementation of the project. It introduces the schedule’s control and implementation of the project, including equipment preparation, personnel training, equipment installation and commissioning assessment, document preparation. It also introduces the quality’s control and implementation, including the quality of construction bidding, equipment, engineering quality, transforming quality of annealing furnace, fire environmental quality. What’s more, the purchase plan’s implementation and control is also briefly discussed. Finally, Chapter VII educes the main conclusion of the dissertation.
