Automatic hard capsule filling machine is a kind of stereotype embraced pharmaceutical equipment in the pharmaceutical industry, which can meet production requirement such as high capsule probability, precise filled volume, simple operation, high production capacity, good tightness and so on, and it has been widely used in the hard capsules production process in recent years. With the rapid development of machinery manufacturing, especially the advances of computer application technology, many companies upgrade their products continuously. Being adapt to the market and improve their competitiveness, capsule filling machine manufacturers have to improve their products sector of machine continuously by improving their productivity and product precision.According to the development of the market of filling machine and business needs, this paper makes NJP2400automatic hard capsule filling machine as the research object, the following works are completed:(1) Considering the structure composition of NJP2400filling machine and the restrict conditions of the part changes, the method to improve production of the filling machine was proposed, and the improved production of the machine can be increased to3200particles/min, which named NJP3200filling machine.Then, three dimensional models of the mechanisms of the machine were built in Pro/E, including the capsule filling mechanism, slewing mechanism and the main drive system.(2) Based on the structural characteristics of the filling machines, the factors affecting the dosage was studied, the key parameters (such as the the thickness of powder disc, the depth of the filled bar cuted into the powder disc, etc.) that affect the differences dosage was determined, and the experience formulas and reference values of the relevant parameters were given.(3) Based on the3D-models of the machine, the movement and force situation of the mechanisms of the improved machine was studied, and the parts interference in the slewing mechanism was excluded, then the displacement, velocity, acceleration, force of analysis curves of the key parts (such as push rod, roller and so on in the cam mechanism) were obtained, and key parts that affect performance of the filling machines were determined:cam, push rod, guides, spring.(4) Based on the dynamics analysis of the main drive system and the parameters optimization function of ADAMS, the parameters of the cams and springs in the cam mechanism of the system, and the most optimal parameters were seleted based on the qualification that the main drive system movement must meet. According to the most optimal parameters, the model of the filling mechine was built, and the simulation was done with ADAMS, the simulation results exhibit that the model after optimized had the remarkable effect in reducing shock and vibration and improving the dynamic performance of the machine and so on, and could provide reference to the design of the physical prototype of the mechine.
