The article is about the process development of3-Oxo-2,3-dihydropyridazine-4-carbonitrile, through the process development of the procedure the yield of theproduct3-Oxo-2,3-dihydropyridazine-4-carbonitrile was improved and the cost wasreduced successfully more suitable for industry production.The yield of route1was very low according the original procedure because thefour active sites of the two starting material.If we can control the reaction going towards the compound we desired bychanging the reaction conditions the yield of this reaction will absolutely improved.According to the mechanism and the original procedure of the reaction three keypoints were selected to carry out orthogonal experiments. Finally, the best reactionconditions were found and the yield was improved successfully.The desired product was obtained through route2but the total yield was verylow because the low yield of the key step of the de-protection of the acetals. So thisroute was abandon.No product was obtained by route3, but this route was still very useful. By theanalysis of its vice products the mechanism of route1was confirmed which was veryhelpful to the development of this procedure.3-Oxo-2,3-dihydropyridazine-4-carbonitrile was a very useful reagent of medicalintermediates. Here some its derivatives were also involved.
