Wood-plastic Composites (WPC) are manufactured by wood fiber and thermoplastics, itcan solve the “White Pollution” problem, but also can improve the utilization ofagricultural and forestry waste, turning waste into treasure, get high value-added industrialproducts. To reduce the cost,we should improve the wood powder content,therefore,thecomposites has vast potentials for development and considerable market prospects. Becauseof wood powder,it’s ductility and impact strength are decreased,brittleness is enlarged andits density is two times bigger than traditional woods which limits its extensive application.In order to guarantee mechanical properties under the high content of wood powder,This study take sawdust and PVC as primary materials, then these materials are mixed indouble roller mixer and molded by flat-press process.Analyzed the effect of wood particlesize, CPE content, ACR agent,and CaCO3agent on the mechanical properties of WPC withorthogonal experiment.The application of impact modifier improves the property of impact strength,but it’sinvalid to reduce the density.Nowadays using the method of microcellular molding gets ridof the above drawbacks.Analyzed the impact of foaming agent type,blowing promotercontent,wood particle size,wood content,plasticizer agent,lubricant,and impact modifiercontent on the mechanical properties and density of WPC with single factorexperiment.Analyzed the microstructure of foam composite by scanning electronmicroscope.The results indicated that:(1)PVC wood plastic composite optimal formula for theimpact strength were as follows:wood powder particle size of40-80mesh, the content ofCPE was15%, the content of ACR was8%, the content of CaCO3was10%;(2)The optimalformula of tensile strength were as follows: particle size was80-100mesh, the content ofCPE was15%, the content of ACR was8%, the content of CaCO3was0%;(3)The optimalformula for bending strength were as follows: particle size was80-100mesh, the content ofCPE was5%, the content of ACR was8%, the content of CaCO3was0%;(4)When thepoly-acrylate ACR was5%or foam additives of zinc oxide was0.1%,the mechanicalproperties was improved simultaneously, but zinc oxide was better in foaming effect.(5)Thelubricant had little effect on the mechanical properties and the cell structure,1%was bestprocessing content.(6)CPE had little effect on the material hole structure.When CPEcontent was10%,formed a network structure,composite material got the best mechanicalproperties.(7)When plasticizer epoxidized soybean oil usage was5%to7%,improved theliquidity and compatibility of materials effectively, material mechanical properties were thebest.
