The Current Status And Effective Countermeasurement Researches Of Regional Public Participation In Environmental Protection

Comply with the demand of constructing ecological civilization in18th CPCNational Congress, and adapt to the changing social development under the newsituation, must not only effectively enhance the functions of the governmentdepartment’s regional environmental management capabilities, but also give fullplay to the social organization and the power of the masses, so as to carryforward environmental protection and innovate social management system. Onthe basis of in-depth research, interview and questionnaire investigation,analyses the present situation of regional public participation in environmentalprotection, found that the contemporary social problems of public participationin environmental protection in addition to the public itself initiative is not strong,limited access, form a single, etc. Besides, the public participation inenvironmental protection system construction still has many defects. Therefore, in order to advance public participation in environmental protection, to improvethe ability and the consciousness of the public participation in social affairs,must, from the perspective of the institutional construction, accomplish systemconstruction as the guarantee, and continuously explore in culture constructionas the focus. On the basis of the extensive publicity, foster consciousness andfurther arouse the enthusiasm of public participation in environmental protection,and effectively build a ecological and livable city.
