Gas is one of the main factors affecting the safety of underground mine production, threatening the lives of mine workers a lot. Traditional methods or devices of gas information management is far from the need of modern large mine safety production. Making gas information management and gas parameters forecast scientific, standard and automation with advanced information technology is significant to realizing mine safety production.According to the practical need of mine production, and combining with theory and methods of gas-geologic map compilation method, inverse distance weighted method and grey system theory, based on C/S model and Microsoft SQL Server2005database, using Visual Basic and ASP programming language, on AutoCAD2008platform this paper has further developed a coal mine gas information management software system, which can realize functions of gas data management, gas geological map automatic drawing and gas parameter prediction.With this system, you can input, delete or amend any data from mining ventilation reports and gas geological records, as well as automatically make these data to form tables or draw gas-geologic map. This system also has the function of network shares and printout. Besides, using different-source gas emission prediction method, this system can forecasts the working face, heading face, mining area and whole mine’s gas emission quantity.it can automatically establish gas content multivariate prediction model by the grey system theory, so as to achieve the prediction of gas content. Using inverse distance weighted method and gas geostatistical method, in the gas-geologic map it can calculate the amount of any block’s gas geological resources, gas extraction and gas surplus. This system has been applicated in Wuyang Coal Mine in Shanxi Lu’an Environmental Energy Development Co., and the result shows it can meet the practical needs of the mine gas information management and gas parameters predicted, it indeed improved mine safety production management level. So this system has a broad application value.
