In recent years, as a result of the rapid development of economy, environmental issueshave become the focus of today’s world of common concern, increasing environmentalpollution accident, not only caused a loss to the country and the property of people, but alsoseriously threaten the health of people. Especially air pollution, it has brought great negativeimpact to the survival and development of human beings. Therefore, an effective way tostrengthen the monitoring and forecasting of sudden atmospheric pollution accident isparticularly important, protecting the environment, preventing pollution, and its essence is toprotect productivity.Air pollution dispersion model is a complex space-time mathematical model, it describesthe process of atmosphere on contaminant transport, dispersion and dilution. In this paper, byanalyzing the single point-source pollution dispersion of accident on the basis of the readingand research, the Gaussian dispersion model is used to simulate the expansion of air pollutioncombined with the specific weather conditions and geographical conditions, and for the airpollution dispersion of instantaneous emissions, according to physics forces seekingparallelogram law, synthesized the wind speed and the dispersion rate of air pollution, we canget dispersion rate solving dispersion models in this paper. With the speed improvement, it isbetter to more accurately calculate the value of the gas concentration. Finally, we can Finishdrawing and display the contours of the pollutants concentration in the platform MapGIScombined with GIS technology, and with the map overlay, preliminary achieve thevisualization of pollution dispersion modeling results support by GIS and reveal the city’s airpollution status to assist the relevant government departments to make decision analysis. Therefore, in this paper, by studying the single point-source pollution dispersion ofaccident on the basis of the Gaussian dispersion model, we managed to simulate theexpansion of air pollution of Xi’an region. The data primarily comes from some references,has not been supported by field data, air pollution dispersion model studied in this paper, thereare still many shortcomings, and in the future work needs to be studied and improved.
