| The scale of iron and steel industrial in Anshan is the largest in the northeastern region of China.However,the iron and steel industrial is one of the most primary sources of the air pollutants.For forecasting on the air quality and prevention and control of the air pollution in Anshan,the air pollution dispersion model is very important for the simulation of the emission and dispersion of the air pollutant.AERMOD and CALPUFF model are both air pollution dispersion models which are recommended in the mandatory industry standards-Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment-Atmospheric Environment(HJ 2.2-2008)which is published by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China.Comparative study of Anshan’s air pollution emission and dispersion using different air pollution dispersion models haven’t been made before.However,there has not been any comparative study of different air pollution dispersion models used for the simulation of the pollution emission and dispersion in Anshan.Therefore,investigation on the application and comparision of the AERMOD and CALPUFF model in Anshan is very meaningful.In this paper,numeric simulation is used to simulate the SO2 emission and dispersion in the center of Anshan within 50km in January 2011 using the AERMOD and CALPUFF modes respectively.The ArcGIS geographic information system is used to display the spatial distribution of the SO2 concentration,which is compared with the measured value.In the simulation with the CALPUFF mode,a data conversion tool named CALWRF is used to convert the simulation result of the mesoscale metrological model called WRF into the input data of the CALPUFF,which can improve the accuracy of the simulation result in the upper meteorological field.The results of the numeric simulations reveal that the simulation value of the SO2 daily average concentration using the CALPUFF model is closer to the measured value.The parameters related to the pollutant dispersion,such as the wind field and the height of the atmospheric boundary layer,could be simulated better by coupling of WRF and CALPUFF model.Moreover,as for the calm wind which usually occurred in winter of Anshan,the simulation by the CALPUFF mode can reflect the influence of the meteorological field and terrain condition on the diffusion and dispersion of air pollutants more real.However,the surface temperature simulated by WRF was always lower than the measured data,which can reduce the accuracy of the input data of the CALPUFF,so the measured data is still necessary to revise the final simulation result. |
