The environmental issues always concerned by scientists, and the atmospheric environment is one of the important aspect. Atmospheric pollution influences human survival and development, therefore, understanding the extent of air pollution in effective ways is important atmospheric content of environmental management. General approach is to get the value of a certain point through on-site monitoring and then quantitatively descript the air quality in the entire region. With the development of the air quality model, it is make the qualitative analysis into quantitative analysis more easy and convenient, which is better than traditional methods in manpower and material resources. In recent years, a lot of diffusion model applied in the atmospheric environment. How to choose an effective model is the first problems in atmospheric environmental management. However, the extensive application of the Gaussian model reflects that the model can not be replaced. AERMOD is one kind of Gaussian model, which a regulation and application-level model recommended by the department of Environmental Protection, but the application of this model remains to be promoting. This paper carried out a series of studies on Huizhou City where the industry is much developed. The validation results indicate that the AERMOD is reliable; we can combine it with GIS to view the spatial distribution of atmospheric pollution from different perspectives. We also took a series of appropriate assessment and analysis on this. The results show that:(1) The validation accuracy of the AERMOD model is 57.14% in spring and 64.29% in winter, which could meet the regional simulation's requirements.(2) There are many uncertainties in AERMOD model, one important factor is the density of the point, and the research shows that:without considering the terrain and the pollution sources'location, the 1km * 1km grid density is better in view of spending less time and in higher precision. (3) GIS spatial analysis can intuitive response a regional distribution of the pollutant concentration, using the output of the AERMOD model to predict the concentrations of the unknown point have different interpolation methods, each methods have different effects, study shows that: the point density of 1km * 1km in the area study, using the Kriging interpolation method performs good.(4) The use of AERMOD model for the study of air pollution diffusion in different seasons, the results shows that: Meteorological factors are important parts that affect the pollution concentration. In the case of the same sources of pollution and the some area in Huizhou City, the concentration of pollution is higher in winter than in spring; pollutant concentration was affected by different wind speed, wind direction in different season.(5) In order to grasp the whole distribution of pollution concentrations in Huizhou City, the results shows that: the central region's concentration is higher than other regions; the contribution of pollution in each region is different.
