The analysis of airflow field features in the refuge chambers is the important component part ofthe research and design of the refuge chambers, taking the KJYF-96/12and KJYF-96/16refugechambers as the examples in this paper, and using the mesh generation software ANSYS ICEMCFD and flow and heat transfer calculation software FLUENT to establish a steady stateincompressible N-S function and k-ε turbulence model to analysis the velocity, temperature, carbondioxide concentration and oxygen concentration in the refuge chambers for the equal refrigeratingcapacity, different inlet velocity of KJYF-96/12and one refrigeration equipment and doublerefrigeration equipments(diagonal arrangement) of KJYF-96/16.The investigation of the velocity field, temperature field, carbon dioxide field and oxygen fieldshows that: for the KJYF-96/12refuge chamber, the decreasing of inlet velocity can meet thecontrol requirements of temperature and carbon dioxide, and the non-uniformity coefficient isincreased; for the KJYF-96/16refuge chamber, comparing with the one refrigeration equipment,the uniformity of the air distribution for the double refrigeration equipments(diagonalarrangement) is enhanced, and the carbon dioxide concentration is decreased.The thermal comfort of people in the refuge chambers can be evaluated by the nonuniformity andPMV-PPD, the results indicates that the thermal comfort of people near the inlet of the refrigerationequipment is high, so the uniformity air distribution has promoted function to the thermal comfort ofpeople in the refuge chambers.For the temperature and carbon dioxide of KJYF-96/12refuge chamber, the2h real peoplecomprehensive protection experiment is implemented, and the numerical simulating results andexperiment data are compared, and the distribution regularities of temperature and carbon dioxide inthe refuge chamber is analysed and summarized. The calculation and experimental results has goodconcordance, therefore, the numerical simulation results has important reference value to thearrangement and model selection of refrigeration and purification equipment in the refuge chambers.
