The present dissertation deals with the taxonomic study of the spiders of the family Lycosidae (Arachnida:Araneae) from Yunnan Province, China. Three parts are included:Part I deals with the introduction to the family, and its morphology and taxonomy. Part II is a detailed study on 62 species belonging to 10 genera, including 22 new to science,1 new to China and 2 single sex supplements. Descriptions, illustrations and specimens examined are given to each species. Species, which are closely related to and easily confused with each other, are discussed. Part III contains 331 detailed morphological figures, including 34 photos and 297 figures.The new taxa given in this paper included:22 species new to sciences:Alopecosa lembodes sp. nov.; Alopecosa parva sp. nov.; Alopecosa tumida sp. nov.; Arctosa foliacea sp. nov.; Arctosa malleata sp. nov.; Arctosa orbiculata sp. nov.; Hippasa ligulacea sp. nov.; Hogna ellipsoidea sp. nov.; Hygrolycosa ligulacea sp. nov.; Lycosa longa sp. nov.; Pardosa aduncata sp. nov.; Pardosa bidentata sp. nov.; Pardosa curvata sp. nov.; Pardosa flata sp. nov.; Pardosa lagenaria sp. nov.; Pardosa latibasa sp. nov.; Pardosa ligulatifolia sp. nov.; Pardosa multidontata sp. nov.; Pardosa unciferoides sp. nov.; Pirata tengchongensis sp. nov.; Trochosa longa sp. nov.; Trochosa uncatusa sp. nov..2 single sex supplements species:The males of Pardosa shyamae (Tikader,1970) and Lycosa carmichaeli Gravely,1924.1 specie new to China:Lycosa carmichaeli Gravely,1924.
