Mineral water is a valuable liquid mineral resource, with the improvement of people’s live, people are not only satisfied with adequate drinking water, but also more mineral water containing trace elements with higher quality.As mineral water is a renewable resource,mineral water will become a popular resources in the futuer. Located in Shanggao county,Qushui mineral water was found during the hydrogeology survey about Shanggao county,and the well exploited in 2014,the water yield is 601.2l m3/d, metasilicate content is 60.8669.23mg/l.This paper takes Qushui mineral water for example, on basis of predecessor research,using geophysical prospecting for the further exploration of the mineral water area geological structure investigation.Analyzing mineral water characteristics of water chemical composition,water quality and water yield, estimating the water resources of mineral water resources.Finally Giving some Suggestions to mining water source and protection. This paper arrives at the following understandings:(1) Collecting geological, geophysical, hydrogeological drilling and hydrogeological test data in mineral water area,it has the water source rock for high silicon background olivine basalt, complex geological structure, joint fissure development. Water-bearing structure is mainly controlled by the north west fault.(2) Chemical characteristics of the main processes of hydrogeochemical mainly is controlled by mainly rock weathering leached and combination in mineral water area, evaporating metasilicate characteristic components is mainly controlled by hydrolysis.(3) Mineral water has the water quality types of HCO3-Ca, a neutral- weak alkaline water softening. Various of water indexes in mineral water area meet the national standard(GB8537-2008) requirements, metasilicate, the main characteristics of the project, has the content of 54.85 68.42 mg/l;All the indicators are basically stable in mineral water area.(4) Single well pumping Q-S test curves conform well to the characteristics of logarithmic equation, fitting well Dupuit well flow calculation formula.It figure out to the average coefficient of permeability is 2.26 m/d in mineral water area. According to a group of well pumping test data, the water source allowing production is 1908.3 m3/d in mineral water area.
