Enlightenment Of The Nobel Prize Awarding Mechanism To The Academician Selection System Of China

The Nobel Prize is set up according to Nobel’s will. From 1901 to 2015, after one hundred years development, the Nobel Prize has become a widely recognized symbol of the achievements and has increasingly extensive and far-reaching influence in social economy, politics, culture. The Nobel Prize has become a kind of human development award and incentive mechanism, gives us many inspirations and function of enlightenment.For nowadays Chinese academician of many fields has become a symbol of authority, at the same time, many problems that exist in Chinese academician group makes the focus turned to the member of the selection system. Chinese academician selection system is a progress and a result of learning from the west. Therefore, based on the research of awarding mechanism of the Nobel Prize, it provides a useful means and great significance for the improvement of academician selection system in China.This article first based on the basic overview of the Nobel Prize, pass the organization of the Nobel Prize, the nomination and selection program, and the elements of won the prize, sums up the laws of awarding mechanism of the Nobel Prize.Secondly, based on the basic overview of the academician selection system in China, sums up that it has its own characteristics. The existing selection system has made some achievements, but there are more problems. Although the broad academicians made a series of groundbreaking scientific and technological achievements, but the selection criteria are not clear, unreasonable structure of selecting experts, the selection process is not scientific and impartiality, and the results of unsuccessful finalists don’t feedback can affect the impartiality and authority of academician selection system in China.Finally, combined the understanding of awarding mechanism of the Nobel Prize with the characteristics of academician selection system in China, the author get some enlightenment:The first one is to rightly treat the government intervention system. The second one is to improve and perfect the system of expert evaluation. The third one is to promote reform of academician selection system in China. The fourth one is to improvement and perfect supervision mechanism.
