Construction Of Forest Landscape Resources Management System Based On GIS

Forest landscape resources are useful as a basis for the development of forest tourism. Tourist activities in the forest environment growing prosperously puts forward the new requirements of forest park management and protection. How to realize the orderly planning and utilization of forest landscape resources is the important content to guarantee the sustainable development of the forest tourism. With the combination of geographic information system (GIS) and forest landscape resources, we can achieve the aimof forest landscape resources management in visual and information-oriented method. It is the development direction of tourism resources management in the "smart tourism" age.This paper selected the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park as the research object and considered the application of component GIS secondary development technologies in tourism resources and forest resource management as guidance.With the requirements of forest park manager, we built a set of forest landscape resources management information system based on GIS.This paper comprehensively expounds all the process of system developing, including the theoretical preparation, technical support, data acquisition, the overall design and the realization of functions.The System was constructed by C/S architecture model, with the application of object-oriented programming. On the platform of Visual Studio 2010, we referenced ArcGIS Engine 10.1 library classes to conduct component GIS secondary developing.Through collecting the spatial data and attribute data in Yaozizhai, Jinbianxi, Huangshizhai and Yuanjiajie, such as forest park digital orthophoto map(DOM), forest landscape resources and tourist service facilities GPS location, digital elevation model (DEM),forest resource inventory data, road, river system,we established the system database.The system realized the development of several big core function module, for instance file management,geographical processing, forest landscape resources query,forest landscape resources evaluation, and system management.At last, we operated and analyzed the detailed applications of the system,such as slope analysis, aspect analysis, Stream flow analysis, visibility analysis, scenic spot query, scenic region and touring route query, public service spot query, public service facility query, and forest landscape resources evaluation.We constructed the forest landscape resources management information system for forest park managers, operators and planners.By using computer applications, we hope to promote the management in various kinds of forest landscape resources, tourism public service facilities, touring route to be more visual and information-oriented. In this way, we aim to improve the scientific planning and management level of the forest park, and facilitate the effective use of forest landscape resources and protection. Eventually more high quality forest tourism services will be provided to visitors. The management function module of system will be further optimized. We have to segment data updating and relevant standards, and form a perfect technical solution gradually. So certain referenced experience about information management will be provided to other forest parks.
