Geographical objects are in continuous change and inextricably bound with space and time, which manifests two major characteristics:Currency and Consistency. However, in practical use of spatio-temporal data, these two characteristics cannot be fully utilized. Most database techniques updates the data periodically, which often lags behind the up-to-date state and can barely maintain the topology consistency. To realize the automatic and dynamic updating of spatio-temporal data, a study on the batch update mechanism of spatio-temporal data is carried out in this paper. Methods about the conflict detecting for change information between target layer and update layer is discussed. The main content follows as:1) A method for spatio-temporal topology disintegration and calculation is proposed based on spatio-temporal topology theory. Based on this, a conflict detecting model for geography entity is established, which takes both spatio-temporal confliction and variation types into consideration.2) A cadastral spatio-temporal database with distinct characteristics of both currency and consistency is chosen as the study object. First in this case, AABB Bounding box is used to describe the spatio-temporal parcel objects. Second, a two-stage-matching conflict detecting model are established to distinguish conflict types derived from multiple sources. Third, a set of batch updating processes of cadastral spatio-temporal database is build up, which realizes the linkage updating of land parcels. Fourth, a method for spatio-temporal topology consistency check of update results is proposed based on spatial-temporal scanning sampling, which ensures the application value of the updated data. The output of this study is tested and applied in the cadastral management software system. And according to the results, the conflict detecting model designed in this study performs well in data updating and result verification.
