Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifoliurn Rarnat) has been widely used as food, a functional food additive, and a traditional Chinese medicine for a long history. The efficacy of detoxify, dispelling wind and eyesight, and so on. In this study using the C. taihangensis (Opisthopappus taihangensis (Ling) Shih), the Chinese endemic genera perennial herb for the material, and comparison with relatives genera C. indicum (Dendranthema indicum) is a traditional medicinal Chrysanthemum, determine the total phenols and flavonoids content in different parts of C. taihangensis, and study the water extract of in vitro antioxidant activity by different methods were analyzed and UV-visible spectra, in order to provide some theoretical basis for the comprehensive development and utilization of taihangensis resources.1 Gallic acid as a reference substance, Lowry UV-visible spectrophotometer at 765nm at the determination of total phenolic content of the chrysanthemum. Total phenolic optimum extraction conditions of 60% ethanol,50℃ extracted twice, each 1h; optimum reaction conditions:0.2 mL of FC (1:3 dilution),0.2 ml of 7.5% Na2CO3, the reaction at room temperature for 1h after 765nm measured absorbance values. The results show that the total phenol content from high to low sample leaves, flowers, stems, the C. taihangensis leaves total phenolic content of up to 153.442 mg GAE/g, a minimum of Chrysanthemum stem 39.775 mg GAE/g; the extracts of the C.taihangensis from different tissues show the higher total phenolic contents than the C.indicum corresponding parts.2 Rutin as the standard, NaNO2-Al(NO3)3-NaOH chromogenic method for the determination the C. taihangensis and C.indicum different parts of the flavonoids, optimization to determine the optimum extraction conditions of 60% ethanol,70℃ and extracted twice, every time 2h. The results showed that different varieties of chrysanthemum leaves flavonoids content is high, the C. taihangensis leaves the highest total flavonoids 115.951 mg Rutin/g, C.indicum leaves flavonoids 76.986 mg Rutin/g, followed by flowers and stems, C.indicum stem minimum of only 13.464 mg Rutin/g, the extracts of the C.taihangensis from different tissues show the higher total flavonoid contents than the C.indicum parts.3 By the ABTS and DPPH system evaluation the antioxidant activity of aqueous extracts. The result shows that C.taihangensis and C.indicum extracts have antioxidant activity are in the ABTS and DPPH System, antioxidant activity DPPH·,ABTS·+ scavenging and the antioxidation activity of the mass concentration showed a clear dose-response relationship, the antioxidant activity of the extract concentration, temperature and extraction time. C.taihangensis leaf, C.taihangensis flower, C.indicum flower antioxidant activity is more prominent, the results are consistent with the determination of total phenolic and flavonoid content, the initial description of the antioxidant activity was positively correlated with the total phenolic flavonoid content. C.taihangensis and C.indicum flower spent 90℃ 20min extraction conditions, embodied by the two system for the determination of antioxidant activity were higher, initially confirmed the tradition of China since ancient times to eat boiling water brewed into tea, chrysanthemum tea is justified.4 C.taihangensis and C.indicum different extraction conditions of UV-visible spectrum are obvious polyphenol flavonoids absorption peak between 250-350nm, and the same extraction conditions extract UV-visible spectrum polyphenol flavonoids absorption level of its antioxidant activity in vitro, under the conditions of 90℃20min extract samples UV-visible absorption spectrum further confirmed the antioxidant activity of the daisy sample their polyphenol and flavonoid content was positively correlated. In summary, total phenol and flavonoids content in C. taihangensis and C.indicum leaves higher than the flowers and stems, the C.taihangensis different parts of the chrysanthemum total phenol and flavonoids are higher than the related genera traditional medicinal C.indicum, consistent with the result of the extract of DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging capacity and the extract of UV-visible spectrum. It showed that the result of chrysanthemum addition to capitulum available, the leaves and stems are also available parts. The calculated results proved that C.taihangensis than C. indicum had good antioxidant activity and healthy function in scavenging free radicals, the whole plant development and utilization of potential significantly.
