In the process of multiple attribute group decision making, the decision problems is often complex and irregular, and people’s thinking is very vague, thus, decision makers tend to apply qualitative linguistic assessment to express their preference information. Therefore, it has important practical significance to study on linguistic decision theory and method. This paper focuses on the extension of the linguistic assessment, and discuss the method for multiple attribute group decision making method with extended forms of linguistic assessment, the details are as follows:(1) First of all, this paper present the definition of intuitionistic two tuple linguistic set, utility distance measure, and according to the relevant concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, a comparison method of intuitionistic two tuple linguistic is processed by defining expected utility function and utility function of hesitancy degree. And using utility distance measure and minimum deviation method for establishing optimization model, intuitionistic two tuple linguistic utility weighted aggregation operator and intuitionistic two tuple linguistic utility ordered weighted aggregation operator are proposed. Some main properties of these operators, like commutativity, associativity and distribution law, are investigated, and a approach is introduced to propose multiple attribute group decision making problems, in which attribute weights are real numbers and attribute values are intuitionistic two tuple linguistic. Moreover, applied intuitionistic two tuple linguistic to TOPSIS method, this paper puts forward intuitionistic two tuple linguistic TOPSIS method. The former method pays attention to the aggregation of group decision information, focusing on the process of decision making, while the latter emphasizes the sorting and selection of the scheme, which focuses on the result of the decision. Finally, the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed methods are verified by the example analysis and comparison of the two decision-making methods.(2) Intuitionistic two tuple semantics and it’s aggregation operator is defined, and based on the related concepts of two semantic, the transformation relationship between intuitionistic two tuple linguistic and intuitionistic two tuple semantics is given. Then, a method of multiple attribute group decision making with two tuple semantics information is established. For multiple attribute group decision making problems with unknown attribute weight information, the paper puts forward two kinds of corresponding method from different points of view:First, one approach propose the concept of group consistency based on the analysis of the consistency of group decision information. And according to the idea that the greater the group consistency, the greater the experts and attribute weights, the formula of the attribute and the expert’s weight are given. Second, considering the uncertainty of the group decision information, the other approach is to put forward the concept of the entropy and cross entropy of intuitionistic two tuple linguistic, and give a combination of entropy and cross entropy to determine the weights of attributes and experts. At last, combined with the relevant integrated operator and the weights, this paper presents two kinds of group decision making methods with different weight determination methods, and corresponding numerical examples are given.
