In recent years, with the further development of education information construction, the major universities have been gradually built the digital campus oriented campus information system. For providing better services to the teaching and management work, most of the universities have completed the full coverage of wireless networks, the optimization and upgrade of campus portal, the development of campus mobile applications and other related works. Describing the campus information accurately and fixing the position of campus users are basic requirements for the normal operation of campus information system. In addition, a functional and informative campus mobile map service system will also provide great convenience for campus users’daily life and study. It is regarded as the main content to build campus mobile map service system. Specifically, the study was completed on the following aspects:1.The development status, application trends, design principles, general production processes and release methods of electronic map are described in detail. On the basis of these, the campus electronic map is designed and built. And it has reached better show effect on the mobile terminal.2.Due to the users’requirement of stroll function, the Voronoi polygon analysis is studied in depth. With the help of campus’Voronoi polygons which created based on POIs, users can get the relative information when they are in one of the polygons. In order to meet the needs of users for positioning and navigation,this paper studied the shortest path analysis algorithm,which help users find the best way to target position by publishing map service with network analysis function.3.In this paper, the development mode and environment required for system construction have been analyzed. The Technology application based on location services has been expanded. "TianDitu" invoked on Android has reached a perfect combination with campus electronic map. ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android has been used on querying the related information, retrieving the target location, and other functions.4.Based on the requirements and functions analysis, the campus mobile map service system for Android is analyzed and designed on Eclipse+ADT (Android Development Tools) development environment. This system has a certain practicality that allows users to view the campus electronic map, query the related geographic information,get the positioning and navigation in the mobile terminal. At the same time, the system provides an effective solution for the establishment of mobile map service system.
