Study On The Current Situation And Protection Of Wetland Resources In Shanxi Province

Wetland is a unique ecosystem which formed by the interaction of the water and land on earth and it has the highestvalue in all ecosystem, pregnant with global rich biological diversity, has an irreplaceable ecological effect. The forest, the sea and the wetland are three major ecosystems on earth, has been hailed as the "kidney of the earth", "the source of water", "products treasure house", "the earth’s carbon pool", "natural reservoir", "natural species pool". It plays an extremely important role in many fields like water purification, flood control, water supply and soil and water conservation, climate regulation, withstanding disasters and so on..Shanxi is located in the hinterland, is a relatively poor wetland resources in the province, only 3.17% of the total land area of the province. With the rapid economic development of Shanxi and the production of human life depends on wetland resources improve, some local blind to the wetland reclamation, transformation, resulting in wetland ecological function degradation, reducing the number of.In this paper, the wetland water resources, animal and plant resources, protection and utilization of wetland in Shanxi province were investigated. The wetland protection and utilization were evaluated by qualitative analysis. The purpose is to grasp the basic situation of wetland in Shanxi Province, water resources, plant resources, animal resources, based on the existing wetland protection and utilization of the status of the evaluation, put forward the relevant issues and countermeasures. The analysis results show that the protection and utilization of wetland are the following problems:the blind reclamation, the pollution situation is grim, the management mechanism is not perfect, the regulatory system is imperfect, the monitoring and evaluation is not scientific, the protection of the development and the technical support is weak. This paper puts forward some reasonable suggestions for these problems, mainly include:establish and improve the wetland protection system, and improve the wetland restoration, wetland construction, strengthen the legal system construction, the implementation of community co management mode, standardized wetland management, and actively carry out technical training, and actively learn from domestic and international experience, to make efforts for the sustainable use of wetlands and their resources in Shanxi province.
