Scientific cooperation increasingly become the mainstream way of scientific research. It has become the main way to develop a big science and solve the problems of globalization. Various domestic and international research organizations and research institutions are involved in collaborative research. Establish cooperative relations gradually become important factors in raising output capacity. Scientific cooperation not only provides access to professional achievement and growth of knowledge approach for researchers, but also provides an effective way between accessing to scientific resources and establishing academic exchanges the scientific community networks elite. This paper attempts to study a specific discipline. Bioinformatics is interdisciplinary that include biology, statistics, applied mathematics and computer science. It is one of the great frontiers of today’s life sciences and natural sciences. This article choose the field of bioinformatics research institutions to cooperate network, revealing the field of bioinformatics network of domestic and foreign agencies overall development trend, inadequate institutional cooperation between different countries and differences in domestic agency cooperation. In this paper,1986-2013 SCI database in the field of bioinformatics as a data sample paper to paper cooperators units as nodes in a cooperative relationship between the agency side of the connection, built-agency cooperation in the field of bioinformatics network. Firstly, from the time dimension of cooperation on international and domestic institutions research networks, through the establishment of institutional cooperation network of the three time periods, and comparative analysis of the time period for each phase of the network overall characteristic index, central and small groups, reveals the biological information International and domestic institutional development and cooperation in the field of science; Secondly, the level of cooperation in this article through institutional cooperation with the size and form of international cooperation in academic papers influence the correlation analysis to explore whether agencies can improve academic papers influence, then United States, Britain, Japan, China-agency cooperation network in these four countries, an analysis of the possible factors affecting agencies, and ultimately promote domestic institutional cooperation proposed recommendations for the domestic problems of institutional cooperation.Through this study, hoping to better understand the field of bioinformatics agencies overall condition, by comparison with other countries, to promote the breadth and depth of research cooperation has a role.
