In order to understand the distribut ion and geological o f oil and gas in deep well, logging technology is now widely used to indirectly acquire the informat ion of oil exploration and development. Logging tools is a widely used petroleum measuring instruments in petroleum product ion, we can obtain the diameter of the well through the measuring arm snug up against the wall of well. The pushing force of measuring arm is a key factor to the accuracy of the caliper measurement. Potent iometer is the logging tool feedback element, we can obtain the curve of the well diameter by measuring the potentio meter output voltage, and therefore nonlinearit y error of the potent io meter will directly affect the logging measuring accuracy. Because of the blockade of advanced foreign technology for logging equipment, it is difficult to understand the matching measuring instruments. Aiming at two important factors which impact measuring accuracy of logging tool, development of arm reverse thrust characteristics and potentio meter linearit y test system of logging tool is necessary.First, the relationship between the logging tool arm reverse thrust and displacement is analyzed in this dissertation, and obtain the curve relat ionship. We developed a test system for the arm reverse thrust and potentio meter linearit y of logging tool, including the operational principle of testing system、the overall project design、control system design, etc., Through the man-machine interface computer control plat form, we achieve the automat ic measurement of measuring system.Second, the measurement errors of measuring system and analyzing the stress condit ion of key parts are explored. Analyzes the caliper gauge is placed horizontally, the loading of two sides are not parallel, force deformation of crossconnect ing rod, quant izat ion error in data collection and other factors influence the measurement results. At the same t ime we analyze the accuracy of electric drive pusher.Finally, we carry out some experiment on the test system, including the force sensor calibrat ion experiment, accuracy analysis of the constant current source. For potent iometers, we measure the non-linearit y and analyze the nonrepeatabilit y base on the measuring data. Measuring the logging tool arm reverse thrust curve and comparing it with the theoret ical analysis. The experimental data showed that performance of the measuring system is good in the actual measurement, it can meet the needs of test ing.
