Investigation and research the woody community in green space along the Songhua river of Jilin on floristic composition, community types, structure characteristics, importance value, alpha diversity. Draw the community plan and finally some countermeasures are proposed for optimizing the plant community structure in the green space. The main conclusions are as follows.1. A total of 998 trees, belonging to 20 families, 34 genera and 56 species. Gymnosperm contains Pinaceae, Ginkgoaceae, Cupressaceae, a total of nine species of all gymnosperms, accounting for 21.8% of the total plants. Angiosperm contains Betulaceae, Rosaceae, Simaroubaceae, Ulmaceae, Leguminosae, Salicaceae, Juglandaceae, Oleaceae, Anacardiaceae, Fagaceae, Aceraceae, Moraceae, Celastraceae, Bignoniaceae, Saxifragaceae, Cornaceae, Caprifoliaceae. Most families Rosaceae species, count 9 genera and 12 species, Followed Oleaceae, count five genera, 8 species. All total of 49 species of angiosperms, accounting for 78.2% of the total plants.2. Armeniaca mandshurica, Rosa rugosa have most importance value in green belt, Ulmus pumila, Sambucus williamsii have most importance value in park, Populus × berolinensis, Acer ginnala have most importance value in waterfront.3. Armeniaca mandshurica, Rosa rugosa have most importance value in artificial community, Ulmus pumila, Acer ginnala have most importance value in semi-artificial community, Ulmus pumila, Sambucus williamsii have most importance value in natural community.4. Compare with Menhinick, Margalef, Shannon-Wiener and Simpson index, the results show, green belt>waterfront>park and artificial community>semi-artificial community> natural community. In revised Hill and Pielou index comparison, waterfront>green belt>park, artificial communities close to semi-artificial communities, were superior to the natural community.5. The mixed broadleaf-conifer forest and mixed broadleaf forest are the main types of woody community along the river, and a small amount of mixed coniferous forest and broadleaf forest. There are some models in vertical structure of community, such as small tree+shrub, large tree+ medium tree+shrub, large tree+ small tree+shrub and single tree. The tree is mainly of the whole community, both of species and number are far below tree of shrub. Green space building should be strengthened for the original vegetation attention and take advantage of future. Gradually reduce the imbalance between the longitudinal different greenbelts. Community garden plant diversity should be increased and rich configuration mode. Plant selection with particular attention to the characteristics of water wet.
