Yongsheng County is one of the most serious areas of debris flow in Yunnan Province. Catastrophic geological disasters, including collapses, landslides, debris flows and so on, happened in Daqing River of Guge village in 2001, 2003, 2006, so that this river is continuing with ’one large-scale disaster in five years, one middle disaster in three years, and small disaster in every year’. 5 Therefore, we must strengthen the exploration, research, prevention and forecasting and warning of debris flow to reduce the losses caused by debris flows.Firstly with the study of geology conditions of Daqing river in Rehe Guge village, we researched and analysed the valley features, partition characteristics and formation conditions, in addition, calculated the major dynamic parameters of debris flow and assessed activity and trends of debris flow. With the research above all, we obtained the theory and data for the prevention and control measures of debris flows. Daqing debris flow gully is medium developing high-frequency valley-type rare debris flow. The security level for prevention and control engineer of this debris flow is three level with the corresponding design standards of happening once in thirty years to design and happening once in fifty years to calibrate. Daqing debris flow ditch is in development stage, the disaster danger level is major, which is a serious threat to the safety of downstream residents and buildings. Therefore the prevention and control of debris flow is necessary.With the analysis of forming conditions and moving characteristics of Daqing river debris flow in Rehe Guge village, we proposed the debris flow prevention and control measures: comprehensive treatment plan with blocking, drainage and biological combination. Setting up debris dam and check dam in the circulation area to stabilize the materials in river bed and reduce the peak flow while setting protection dam in the accumulation zone for disaster prevention and mitigation. Then we present corresponding advices for monitoring the debris flow and protecting the ecological environment of Rehe Guge village.
