With the development of economy and society, more and more land and space is needed, tidal flat, as one of the six kinds of land resources in China, of which reclamation scale and development intensity is increased. To enclose tide land provided space for economic development. But at the same time, it also caused a series of ecological problems, such as the coastal wetland ecosystem degradation, biodiversity reduction etc. This paper took the typical reclamation beach area of Dongtai City, in the middle of Jiangsu province as the study area. Based on 2000, 2010, 1990 TM images data, combined with other auxiliary information and field observation, relying on the GPS, GIS, RS spatial information technology, The paper studied the temporal and spatial dynamic changes of landscape pattern in Dongtai City beach reclamation area, and used cumulative resistance model to explor the optimization of landscape pattern. The conclusions are as follows:1, Agricultural landscape is the largest landscape type in the study area and has absolute advantage than other types. But in the context of large-scale reclamation,Dongtai reclamation area has fragmentation and landscape reducing connectivity problems. Artificial landscape continues to squeeze that of the natural. Ecological land reduced and Landscape connectivity decreased.we need to identify and strengthen key areas to strengthen ecological ecological connectivity, thus to realize the benign development of ecological system.。2, cultivated land is main type in the study area from 1990 to 2000. Which accounts for 80% of the total area. residential land and farming land area increased and mudflat area reduced. Grassland area reduced at first but increased significantly later. The transfer direction of main elements are as follows: sea area transfers to mudflat and cultivated land, mudflat to grassland and cultivated land, grassland to cultivated land and farming land, farming land to construction land and cultivated land; artificial landscape dominance decreased, other types display a strong expansion trend, the development of cultivated land is particularly prominent; In the erosion of artificial landscape, natural landscape experienced a fragmentation process, and the the ecological instability increase; The overall landscape pattern in the region tend to fragmentation, discretization and diversification: the plaque numbers increased, the average areas decreased, the shape became more complex. the distance and evenness between patches increased; weakened;, the diversity of landscape types increased and the dominance index decreased.3, There was very different between the value of ecosystem services of landscape types in the study area. the highest unit and quantity services value and is wetland, which is followed by agriculture and water. In a overall sense, the landscape strength of ecological function gradually weakened from the east to the west. internal differences become more and more obvious from east to west, too.4,The main measures of optimization landscape of the study area are protection and strengthen the construction of corridor source node. The main problems to be solved the protection of coastal wetlands and the construction of forest base, as well as road greening. In this study is to explore the relationship between landscape pattern and ecological processes on the basis of the theory in practice and to try to use landscape optimization method based on the landscape pattern, and provides scientific suggestions basis for the ecological design and management in Dongtai city and coastal beach reclamation area, which has a certain significance of theoretical innovation.
