Research on bionics originated in the middle of 20 th century, while the study of vision bionics technology is even more fresh research of bionics research. Based on the successful application of vision bionics technology in many fields, we studied several vision bionics optical systems in this dissertation. Firstly, this dissertation introduces the concept of vision bionics technology, summarizes the theory and research status of the compound eyes of insects, birds, and many other vision bionics technologies.This dissertation is mainly researched from the direction of visual imitation of insects and birds. We first expound the physical structure and optical properties of the compound eyes of insects, review the development and application of laser radar. Design two laser radar receiving optical systems, contrast and obtain the problems of laser receiving system, then we design a small eye laser receiver system of compound eye system which can apply in gaze laser radar systems, then splice the small eyes system into a 2×2 array, complete a optical compound eye laser radar receiving optical system. These works improve the problems like small visual field and lager volume of laser radar receiving optical system, and has important significance on further study of laser radar.Secondly, we describe the physical structure, visual and optical characteristics of the falco rusticolus eyes, the falco rusticolus is a kind of Falconidae. By introducing a reflective liquid crystal spatial light modulator for modulating the aberrations of two fields of a view, so improving the corresponding aberrations and achieving high-resolution image of the two different fields of the view, while the remaining fields of the view are of low-resolution image. Achieve a dually foveated imaging optical system by simulating the falco rusticolus eyes, and calculation shows the high diffraction efficiency of the system with sampling resolution of 32×32. In addition, based on the visual optical parameters of falco rusticolus eye we have gotten, in order to simulate the dually foveated high-resolution imaging function of falco rusticolus’ single eye, we design two optical systems which match the optical properties with falco rusticolus’ visual function.Finally, based on the study of binocular stereo vision of falco rusticolus, an d role of binocular visual depth perception, we design and build the experimental system of falco rusticolus binocular stereo vision. We conduct the ranging experiment of the outdoor space targets and analyze the results.By researching the characteristics, theoretical analysis and a lot of design calculations, we obtain the optical system models of compound eyes of insects and Falconidae birds’ eyes. All the work in this dissertation will provide theoretical support for the further study on optical vision bionics technology.
