In the production of optical fiber coupling and docking,80% of the coupling and light alignment between optical fiber and optical fiber are completed by traditional labor-intensive manual or semi-automation.Only a few enterprises and research institutions have developed automatic optical fiber alignment systems.In this production mode,there are some problems such as low yield,low production efficiency and high production cost.In addition,there are some problems such as low cost performance,equipping with a microscope,manual preliminarily adjustment,without angle adjustment function at home and abroad.In view of the above problems,an optical fiber automatic alignment coupling system and related experiments are designed in this paper.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Aiming at the problems existing in the existing optical fiber automatic alignment coupling system,the design requirements of reducing coupling errors and simplifying the system structure are proposed.In the structure of the optical fiber automatic alignment coupling system,a fiber collimator is added to assist fiber alignment.2.In response to the fully automated design requirements of the optical fiber automatic alignment coupling system,machine vision technology is used to achieve automatic coarse alignment in the stage of coarse alignment.In the fine-tuning and alignment stage,online detection of the optical power in the closed-loop feedback is performed,and the fine-tuning algorithm is invoked to realize automatic fine-tuning and alignment.3.The experimental platform and vision system of the designed optical fiber automatic alignment coupling system are constructed respectively.The vision calibration of the optical fiber automatic alignment coupling system vision system is carried out.The laser drive part of the optical power online detection is designed,and the stability of the laser emission module which is in the optical power closed-loop feedback is verified and analyzed.The defects of the gradient search algorithm is analyzed and the optimization of algorithm is proposed.4.The optical fiber automatic alignment coupling system is tested and verified.In the coarse alignment stage,the fiber coupling efficiency is 35.1%.In the fine-tuning and alignment stage,the fiber coupling efficiency is increased to 77.2%.
