There is a small amount of natural light in the dark environment.The sensitivity of the human retina is not high,which makes it difficult for the human eye to recognize and observe the target object clearly in the low-light environment.The emergence of low-light night vision technology has achieved night vision capability,but it is very dependent on the development of photoelectric technology and physical materials.In order to break through this limitation,we propose a large field of view bionic vision system based on dark environment from the perspective of bionics.The major work of the paper as follows:(1)This paper summarizes the research status of night vision technology,bionic vision system and image restoration algorithm.We propose a large field of view bionic vision system based on dark environment.(2)From the perspective of large field of view,we design fisheye lens,parallel compound eyes and reflective overlapping compound eyes.And we carry out ray tracing and image quality analysis.The characteristics of the single-lens scanning splicing optical system,the panoramic ring optical system,and the catadioptric planar compound eyes system are discussed.Through comparative analysis,we choose the 120° fisheye lens as the large field optical imaging system.(3)Inspired by the retinal structure of elephant-nosed fish,the mathematical model of compound parabolic concentrator is studied theoretically.Through ray tracing simulation,the optical performance is known from the aspects of concentrating ratio and uniformity.The bionic intensity enhancer is built based on the compound parabolic concentrator.(4)Based on the bionic intensity enhancer,we optimize the bionic intensity enhancer by establishing evaluation criteria according to the imaging effect,brightness improvement and uniformity of the bionic intensity enhancer.The optimized bionic light intensity enhancer and the fisheye lens constitute a bionic vision system.Imaging simulation is carried out.The image brightness is increased by 4 times.(5)Based on the imaging effect of the bionic vision system,we use the bilinear interpolation method to establish the distortion correction algorithm,and we use the total variation method to establish an image inpainting algorithm.The image of Chapter 4 is improved by the combined use of the two algorithms.
