A Study On Marine Consciousness Of Public In Qingdao

The country’s strategy of "Marine potestatem", presented in the communist party’s 18th national congress, sets out new requirements for the community, such as improve the ability of exploit marine resources, develop the marine economy, protect the marine environment, and safeguard the national marine rights and interests. Consciousness is the pioneer of Action, and Marine Consciousness is the ideological basis for the implementation of Marine potestatem. Most of the previous studies on Marine Consciousness are to measure "Marine knowledge" of the specific groups, rarely from the perspective of the structure of Consciousness. Under the premise of the domestic and foreign researches, this research based on the ABC theory of Attitude in Social psychology, to divide Marine consciousness into Marine cognition, Marine affect and Marine behavior intention. Besides, this paper’s research object is the city residents of Qingdao, the main data collection methods is questionnaire survey, the tool for data analysis is SPSS20.0, in order to explore the public’s Marine awareness and the influencing factors, and draw the relevant suggestions to enhance public’s Marine awareness. This paper mainly includes four parts:The first part mainly introduces the background of this research, the domestic and foreign scholars’researches about " consciousness " and Marine consciousness, then puts forward it’s purpose and significance of this paper. The second part is about the design of the research, including pinpoint the research method, the research content and research hypothesis, and then chooses four districts of Qingdao as the survey area, and focuses on the process of how to compile the questionnaire, including the design of the questionnaire, the initial survey, the revision of the questionnaire, the formal questionnaire’s distribution and inspection. The third part and the fourth part is the core of this research. The third part is mainly to describe and count the citizen’s Marine consciousness condition, including the basic status, the scores of the Marine consciousness, the specific differences and the demographic characteristics in Marine consciousness, of Marine consciousness and its three dimensions. The fourth part adopts regression and correlation analysis methods, focusing on the influencing factors of urban residents’ Marine consciousness, including demographic factors, the national marine policy, the concept of "value land but devalue marine", the practices about related to marine. The fifth part is the relevant conclusions derived from the former parts, including the general characteristics of Qingdao citizens’ general characteristics of ocean consciousness, the essence of "The indifferent the Marine consciousness",the deficiency of Marine Consciousness of public in Qingdao, then put forward feasible suggestions to enhance the Marine consciousness of the public in Qingdao.
