Metamorphic mineral is formed from mineral metamorphism. Diagnostic metamorphic mineral is that has stable range and can indicate metamorphic conditions (temperature, pressure, and sometimes the composition of original rock).Such as actinolite,chlorite, epidote, biotite, muscovite, hornblende, andalusite, cross stone, cordierite, silicon line,Which can indicates the change of metamorphism conditions.The diagnostic metamorphic mineral is strong at the development area of Metamorphism where is often located in the mountain, at high altitude, and present the characteristic of traffic inconvenience.It is difficult to carry out conventional field geological survey. According to the situation, this paper exploratory carried out research to extract information of ten kinds of metamorphic mineral based on the S-A method, which is indicated different grade metamorphism. Choosed the Ailaoshan area as demonstration, that confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method by collecting and analyzing the field survey data.By this research,we achieved the following main research results and understanding:(1) This article selected the ASTER data and concluded the spectral characteristics of actinolite,chlorite, epidote, biotite, muscovite, hornblende, andalusite, cross stone, cordierite, silicon line etc by referencing USGS spectrum library and analyzing the characteristic of the diagnostic metamorphic mineral spectra. Explored the methods to enhance diagnostic metamorphic mineral spectrum information and extract the diagnostic metamorphic mineral information by using "Principal component analysis"、"S-A "and the theory of "The generalized self-similarity" and "The local singularity".Setted up a technique process to extracting enhanced diagnostic metamorphic mineral information at complex area of geological background.(2) This article selected the Ailaoshan area to carry out the demonstration research that extract the diagnostic metamorphic mineral information. We verified chlorite, epidote, biotite, muscovite through field investigation, and the accuracy is as high as85.7%. It shows that the method is reliable.(3)We divided four metamorphic belt according to the distribution characteristics of diagnostic metamorphic mineral information, such as:Huguangcun-Mingzishan metamorphic belt、Maolanxiang-Xiaojie metamorphic bel、 Manghuaixiang-Houqingxiang metamorphic belt、 Linjie-Longdong metamorphic belt.The result can provide reference information for geological survey work.
