Urban drainage pipe network system is an important urban infrastructure, its roleis to collect and transport of urban sewage and urban rainfall, snowmelt runoff, it havethe double function to protect the environment and city breaks. Along with our countryurbanization process is accelerated, the construction of the urban drainage pipenetwork system has been rapid development, the consequent massive and complexpipe network data management information need, in the past the back of the artificialmanagement methods can not meet the need of the drainage pipe networkinformation management. Along with the computer technology, network technologyand the rapid development of communication technology, to the urban drainage pipenetwork information, modern management has brought new opportunities. Therefore,resume a meet the urban drainage pipe network planning, design, construction andmanagement of urban drainage pipe network GIS information management system isof great significance for the reality of urban drainage pipe network information.In the process of system research and design, this paper first analyzes thebackground, status quo of the drainage pipe network system and the existingproblems, and then on the geographic information system based on knowledge fullylearn to understand and complete the system logic structure and overall frame design.According to the drainage pipe network of graphic and attribute data, the systemplatform to complete the spatial database and attribute database resume, completedthe design of the system interface functions, and finally realize the basic function ofdrainage pipe network system. The system can realize the drainage pipe network dataentry, storage, editing, updating and output function; The database managementfunctions; Network attribute query and etc. The organization mode and structure ofthe system database is introduced in the paper; Introduces the urban drainage pipe network GIS system each main module’s function and usage, and examples ofdrainage pipe network visualization system.Through this system can quickly and accurately obtain needed all kinds ofdrainage pipe network information, and speed up the flow of data read and updatecycle, improve the degree of information sharing.
