Since the new century, changing economic growth mode and improving the environmentquality had became one of China’s important economic development strategy. The report ofthe18th national congress of the communist party of China took ecological civilizationconstruction to a prominent position, stressing that in order to achieve the sustainabledevelopment of the society and economic, China should integrate ecological civilization intoall aspects of the whole process of economic construction, political construction, culturalconstruction and social construction, and take a new industrialization road with hightechnological content, good economic returns, low resource consumption, little environmentalpollution and better utilization of human resources. The development and evolution of theindustrial ecosystem which is the valuable form of the sustainable development strategy, wasconcentration of government and scholar.However, with the continuous development ofindustrial ecosystem, many problems has been exposed, such as its structure, technology, andexternal environmental factors, and those caused some negative impact on the sustainableevolution of IES. Studying the function of the ecosystem evolution role of each component,evaluating the sustainability of the evolution, determining the key influencing factors of thesustainable development,simulating the evolution of the situation, and exploring sustainablesystem development model has important influence on the development of economic,socialand environment in our regional. This paper will introduce the industrial ecology theory,emergy analysis and system dynamic to industry ecosystem to study the process of evolutionof IES. And then we will discuss the suitable way of economic development by the means ofsimulation of different economic development model. At last, the model will be tested by thecase of Tianjin Binhai New Area. The steps are as follows:Firstly, we generalize the basic theories and relevant studies of industrial ecosystem,emergy analysis and system dynamic systematically in this part. Combined with thedevelopment of China’s industrial ecosystems practical, the connotation and characteristics ofIES will be elaborated, which is the foreshadowing of evaluation and simulation.Secondly, emergy analysis is applied to evaluate the sustainability of the evolution ofIES. Then the industrial ecosystem will be divided into some sub-systems, and theevaluation system will be set and calculated to analysis the economic, society andenvironment benefits as well as the level of sustainable during the evolution of IES.Once again, the mechanism of the system and the relationship between sub-systems arediscussed by the means of system dynamic method. After that,the evolution model of IESwhich contains the emergy evaluation sub-system is founded to appraise the sustainablequestions dynamically.Finally, Tianjin Binhai New Area ecosystem is taken as a case study. After emergyanalyzing of the status, we construct evolution model of Tianjin Binhai New Area ecosystem,numerical simulation and emulation are conducted to analyze the overall efficiency and sustainability issues under different economic developing models, in order to verify theeffectiveness of IES evolution model. And the results are thoroughly analyzed.In short, this paper aims to provide a theoretical basis and development strategy for theIndustrial restructuring, resources optimization and sustainable evolution of Tianjin BinhaiNew Area ecosystem.
