The Preliminary Investigation Of Wild Plant Resources In Kubuqi Desert

This article of wild plant resources in kubuqi desert has carried on the preliminary investigation and the results are as follows:1. There are 226 species,3 subspecies,14 varieties and 1 forma wild plants distributed in the study area which belonging to 54 families,156 genera and they are all seed plants.2. Compositae, Gramineae, Leguminosae, Chenopodiaceae are, as the big family of wild plant resources in the research area, containing 108 kinds of plant resources accounting for 44.2% of the total species of wild plant resources in the study area. Artemisia, Polygonum, Suaeda, Corispermum, Potentilla, Caragana, Oxytropis, Tamarix are the dominant genera in the study area which containing 42 kinds of plant resources, accounting for 17.21%of the total species of wild plant resources in the study area. From the aspect of life form and water ecotype, there are 193 kinds of herbs resources and 50 kinds of woody plants,accounting for 79.1% and 20.49%of the total species of wild plant resoures in the study area; Aquatic plants and hygrophyte have 19species, mesophyte has 131 species, xerophyte has 92 species, respectively accounting for 7.79%,53.69% and 37.71% of the total species of wild plant resources in the study area.3. According to the use of wild plant resources in the study area, it can be divided into 8categories,20 small classes. There are 84 species of wild edible plants,194 kinds of wild forage plants,137 kinds of wild medicinal resources,119 kinds of wild honey powder source plants,43 kinds of wild industrial plants,and there also have 54kinds of wild environmental plants,11 kinds of wild endemic and rare plants,9 kinds of wild culture used plants.4. Forage plant resource is the most abundant resources in the study area,also is the most widely used one. Based on this situation,the grade evaluation has been conducted by forage plant resources comprehensive evaluation. Consequently, there are 23 excellent forage plants,63 kinds of good forage plants, moderate feeding plants with 53 species,low feeding plants with 46 species and 9 inferior forage plants. Gramineae, Chenopodiaceae, Leguminosae contain a considerable nember of high-quality forage plants.5. According to the use value of plant resources and use diversity, combining with the plant in the distribution and utilization of research area,13 kinds of plant resources were introduced.6. By the investigation,finding out the existing problems of the development and utilization of wild plant resources in the study area and combining with the characteristics of plant resources and the principles of the development and utilization of wild plant resources, the development and utilization of wild plant resources in the study area and protection recommendations have been put forward.
