The Research Of Knowledge Management System Establishment And The Influence To NPI Project Management In GOE Department D Company

As technology and economic globalization, new technologies and new productsreplacement are faster than before, cross-industry competition gradually increased, andmore intense. As consumer electronics, PC industry is particularly evident, not onlythe replacements of similar products are accelerating, the number of new products isincreasing; and the original saturated market also received erosion from smartphonesand tablet. NPI, a very important aspect of business operation and connectivitybetween products design and products launching to the market, also can feel thepressure from the market through the products operation process.GOE department in D company is responsible for all NPI project management, inorder to meet the business transformation strategy and respond to pressure from themarket, it is eager to be able to ensure the quality of project management, reduce theNPI project management costs, improve the process control and shorten the NPIperiod to make sure the new products can be launched to the market on time and gainmore market-share and profits. In this thesis, knowledge management is brought intoNPI project through a knowledge management and sharing system. The accumulationand sharing of knowledge can improve staff ski经验教训and the risk managementability in NPI projects, then increase the productivity in department and reduce therework of projects, make both quality, cost and schedule control get improved duringNPI projects.At the beginning of the establishment of the knowledge management and sharingsystem, we used depth interview to find accurate user requirements; and empiricalresearch for the management tools in other department or companies in the sameindustry. Further, we did qualitative analysis for six kinds of knowledge to categorize avariety of knowledge management and sharing and determine the system design IT platform; after that, we uses the hierarchical method of classifying documentsmanagement. Finally using system dynamics simulation method to forecast theknowledge management model will be on the impact of NPI project management.The most important part of the Knowledge Management system is the ITplatform. At the same time, both new knowledge sharing method and process,motivation method based on the measurement of individual contribution to knowledgesharing, and a maintainer for this system help this system to be a complete practicableknowledge management and sharing system.
