As the most frequent post-earthquake disaster, the reason of thepost-earthquake fireis complicated and the harm is heavy. China is an earthquake-prone country, so the mostimportant way to formulate disaster prevention measures is to do the comprehensiveevaluation of post-earthquake fire. Based on the analysis of existing post-earthquake fireeffect evaluation method, the post-earthquake fire comprehensive evaluation system hasestablished with GIS. Taking an industrial zone in north China as an example, notonly thepost-earthquake fires in the region have comprehensively evaluated, but also somecountermeasures of earthquake resistance and prevention have suggested in this paper.The basic theories of post-earthquake fire and evaluation methods about the post-earthquake fire both at home and abroad are summarized based on the literature.Accordingly, comprehensive evaluation system by combing strong spatial analysismethod with analytic hierarchy process of GIS has been put out. Overlapping layermethod which is suitable for determining methods of unit division is discussed. Theapplicability and feasibility are also demonstrated. Accordingly, the related impactfactors collected from the industrial zone in north China which have been classified interms of point, line and surface, and combined with the weight of circumstances todetermine basic unit division. The GIS graph is obtained through the unit for class firerisk assessment system both at home and abroad. Combined with the characteristics ofthe industrial zone, considering form four aspects, the fire reason, the fire load, fireresistance and the urban earthquake damage, the index system is established by theinfluence of various factors.Combined with the evaluation method proposed in this paper, post-earthquake fireprevention measures can be divided into three parts: before, during and after earthquake.Suggestions mainly for pre-earthquake prevention and post-earthquake fighting are alsogiven. In this way, the foundation for the establishment of urban industrial regionalseismic disaster preventionplanning is laid.
