With the continuous development of information technology,warfare has undergoneenormous changes,and thus study war military events become a more and more popular topicin various fields. In modern warfare,small nuclear and chemical weapons use,brought greatuncertainty to the course of the war. The uncertainty need the experts to predict certainty.TheGIS technology (Geographic Information System) as a spatial information research-relateddisciplines,has its unique way to deal with the military events.The spatial analysis (SA) andmodeling research the development of spatial phenomenon via the use of geometricrelationships,topology and spatial attributes, as a necessary means to study the military eventsby quantitative modeling.In the paper,based on the systematic study of the spatial analysis,the military eventmodeling at home and abroad,the atmospheric turbulence,simulate the process of the gasdiffusion of pollutants by assuming the battlefield environment,construct the correspondingdiffusion model.At last,based on the ArcGIS secondary development platform,develop averification program,make a comparative analysis of the diffusion concentration data and givethe policy recommendations.The main contents are as follow:(1) Briefly describes the research in methodology military events,the development ofmilitary geographic information systems,as well as M-GIS applications in actual militaryevents.In a military event,spatial analysis modeling is building through the"spatial data+spatial method"mode,so it’s need to study the GIS spatial data organization,a detaileddescription of the characteristics and structure of spatial data;research the atmosphericturbulence theory mold that required in the model,comparative analysis the equations ofmotion used for atmospheric turbulence.(2) Establish a gas diffusion model.its need to consider the specific gas diffusionmeteorological elements of battlefield environments,detailed describe the meteorologicalfactors,wind and atmospheric stability. Initial the meteorological factors, based on theGaussian point source plume diffusion model, modified gas diffusion parameters. Build a gasdiffusion model under battlefield conditions, obtain the gas diffusion process data.(3) Analysis the key technical of gas diffusion modeling. Set the input conditions of thegas diffusion process.Establish a mathematical formula which convert the Gauss coordinate tothe geographic coordinate,screened out the gas concentration values of specified range,reducing the amount of calculation.Conduct spatial interpolation operation,generate gasdiffusion concentration contours to better analysis the experimental data.Finally enter aspecific experimental data,obtained the gas concentration data after the operation.Detailed analysis the obtained gas concentration dat,verify the accuracy of the model,makerecommendations on the military decision-making.
