Deep brine resource,as a nonrenewable resource like coal, oil and natural gas,may drivea high development of the regional economy if it can be exploited and utilized reasonably.Butin the process of actual exploitation, some factors lead to irrationally exploit brine resources, waste it, pollute environment and destory ecological system, etc, which are misunderstandingthe resource concept of brine, inadequate related research and lacking mining experience.Theywill seriously hinder sustainable development of resources, economy and society.Becausedeep brine resources is located in deep,high-pressure, and closed environment, and thegeological exploration cost and mining technology level are limited, the limited analysis andresearch of storage conditions, genetic type, distribution and burial law become the importantrestriction factor for the rational development and utilization of deep brine. The reserves of deep brine resource over60bn cubic meters. It contains a highconcentration of NaCl and plenty of I,Br and Li,whose content achieve the level of miningindividually, owning a high economic value. Furthermore, deep brine resource in the studyarea has a low content of impurities, high purity, low requirements for the extraction of crudesalt, possessing considerable mining advantage.Previous oil exploration provide abundantprospecting data of geological conditions, structural feature and formation lithology whichcan provide the data support for the development and utilization of deep brine resources in thestudy area.In this paper, the research target is as follows:firstly, establish the sustainable exploitationand utilization model of deep brine resources in Yellow River delta; secondly, exploresustainable development and utilization scheme; thirdly, analyze the formation lithology, structure features, sedimentary characteristics, distribution range and buried law of YellowRiver delta; fourthly, find out the storage condition, origin, distribution range and buried lawof deep brine resources;fifthly, evaluate the deep brine resources according to the above studywhich include water quantity and water quality evaluation. In order to realize the goal of highefficiency and high value, we built the sustainable exploitation and utilizationdecision-making model for deep brine resources, providing the theory basis for scientificexploitation and efficient utilization of deep brine resources in study area. The main research contents include:1. We divided the brine formations, delineated the range of ore body distribution, studiedand analyzed brine storage characteristics and water chemical characteristics according to theformation lithology, tectonic characteristics, sedimentary characteristics, distribution buriallaw and brine distribution conditions. We obtained the related parameters, providing sufficientdata for the subsequent calculation of brine resources reserves and analysis of the recoverableresources from geological prospecting and logging test.2. The resource assessment for study area which mainly includes the quantity evaluationand quality evaluation. Water quantity evaluation respectively used finite element method andbasic principle of volumetric method combining Feflow software and surfer software, theycould establish space model to calculate and forecast. Water quality evaluation was for crudesalt and trace element analysis and calculation in brine. Results showed that total resources ofdeep brine in Yellow River Delta reached64.021billion cubic meters, exploitable resourceswere0.963billion cubic meters, the deep brine resources had low content of impurities, highpurity, low requirements for the extraction of crude salt, which had a great exploitingadvantage.3.Multi-objective decision-making model was built to put deep brine sustainabledevelopment and utilizationas as the goal, after resource evaluation. The model includedoptimum well spacing, minimum cost, the greatest degree of comprehensive utilization and themost effective way to protect and keep stable for ecological system. And according to the deepbrine resources exploitation experiment and related references, we established sustainabledevelopment and utilization scheme for deep brine resources in the study area.
