Study On The Tourism Development Of Historical And Cultural Resources In Yellow River Delta

Today the historical and cultural resources have become more and more importantin tourism. Studying further on the local historical and cultural resources and exploringits tourism value is very significant for the sustainable development of the tourism.Yellow River delta is known as "the most development potential of the delta". Thisarea not only has the wide estuary landscape and vast wetland landscape, but alsoaccumulates the rich historical and cultural resources. In recent years, the focus of theYellow River delta’s tourism is natural and ecological aspects while the exploitation ofits historical and cultural resources is relatively neglected.This paper clearly defines the geographic scope of the Yellow River delta, andintroduces its tourism resources and the present situation of its tourism development.Then it analyzes the historical and cultural resources of Yellow River delta, divides itinto historic relic represented by the ancient culture, distinguished men represented bySun Wu, modern agriculture and industry represented by the Shengli Oilfield, theintangible culture heritage represented by Yangjiabu, and carries on a SWOT analysis.Although the location conditions and the late-developing advantages are obvious, thelevel of economic development, the market awareness and the qualities of employeesare not high; while policy support and the trend of regional tourism cooperation areopportunities, it is facing the basic conditions and the near regional competition. Itborrows from the tourism development in both foreign and domestic deltas, such asdeveloping peculiarity tourism products, regional tourism cooperation, excellentpromotional marketing means and combining development with protection. At last, itputs forward ideas, like integrate development and creative development, to realize thetourism development of the historical and cultural resources in Yellow River Delta.
