The Yellow River delta is one of the typical regions in river mouth coastal zone, which has rich resources, such as land, sea, petroleum, etc., and is the base of energy, petrochemical industry, agriculture and livestock of Shandong province. In recent years, because of the quantity reduction of water and sand sedimentation of the Yellow River, Yellow River delta seacoast erodes unceasingly, and brings enormous hidden danger to the protection project. Thus, studying the erosion-deposition rule of the Yellow River delta and forecasting its evolution tendency has great means for the land planning and oil exploration of the Yellow River delta.This paper takes the modern Yellow River delta seacoast Erosion-deposition rule as the main study content, synthetically applies the multi-temporal remote sensing image, the topographical data, the hydrology statistical data and so much other data, takes RS and GIS as the main technique support, takes the grey system theory as the research method, deals with the essential data, establishes gray forecast model about the seacoast evolution tendency of the Yellow River delta, then studies the Yellow River delta seacoast erosion-deposition rule. The main research content is as follows:(1) This paper starts with the principle of equal interval grey GM(1,1) model, deduces the response expressions of whitenization model of unequal interval GM(1,1) model, and improves the traditional grey parameters solution method. This method effectively avoids the errors caused by the time interval unequal, the background value structured unreasonable, etc.(2) This paper Summarizes the flow pass transition of the Yellow River and the seacoast evolution of the Yellow River delta since 1855 and analyzes the primary factors affect coastal erosion and siltation about Yellow River delta.(3) In this paper, we define the average high-tide line as the coastline, choose different image processing methods according to different coastline types and obtains the coastline from remote sensing image, and then take the Yellow River mouth segment and Diaokou segment coastline as the key research region, use the gray system modeling method to analyze its coastline evolution, and forecast the coastline changes in the future years. (4) According to many years of the actual measured water depth data of Feiyan beach in the Yellow River delta, this paper carries on the profile analysis and the three dimensional modeling analysis using GIS software, extracts the research area isobaths, and finally uses the gray system modeling method to analyze and forecast the research sea area submarine delta evolution tendency.
