Application Research Of The Design Quality Management Method Based On QFD & Taguchi Method

With the severity of the international quality competition, the enterprises continuously realize that the quality is not achieved by manufacture but design;so it is the most effective method to control the product quality from the headwaters of quality. In the recent years, the enterprises of our country in particular the manufacturing have made a considerable progress in the quality control and management, but the capacity of design and development is still obviously lower than the manufacture capacity.In view of this condition, the design quality management method based on Quality Function Development (QFD) and Taguchi Method is researched in the paper. First, the theory of QFD and Taguchi Method is studied and their sameness and differentia is analyzed in detail. Second, started with the forming process of quality and the analyses of quality problem in the design process, the necessity, importance and technical feasibility that apply the quality assurance tool in the product design are announced;the inner link and characteristic are indicated about two kinds of tool, and the sizable complementarities each other, which are also in different status and the angle in guaranteeing the design quality are analyzed. Third, the principle, characteristic and model of the integration application are analyzed, and taking the gearbox design to show its application process. Last, the evaluation tool based on bench marking and DEA is borough forward to evaluate the characteristic and problem of the model and the future development trend in this field are pointed out.Conclusion: the concurrent design idea is embodied ideally by QFD, Taguchi Method is a effective means to assurance design quality, the integrated model can effectively assurance the product design quality. It has an important instructional meaning to improve the capacity of the design and development for the enterprises in our country.
