| Cleaner production takes the preventive environmental strategies all round in production process, products and services. So that it can protect the health of environment and human while achieving the progress of the society and economy. With the continuing development of the cleaner production, it has gone into service business. In recent years, the service business has been developing rapidly, and the hotel industry is especially outstanding. However, when hotels service for their customers, they are consuming large numbers of natural resources and discharging a mass of waste. All of these are destroying the nature. Just because of this, cleaner production has also been put into hotels' practices gradually in recent years.At the present time, cleaner production has not been carried out in a large scale. Only part of enterprises can get some assistance on finance or information technologies at project level whatever in china and in the other countries of the world. It has been 10 years since cleaner production was carried out in China, and big progresses on theory study, publicizing, project demonstration have been achieved. However, there have not been unitive and normative methods to assess the performance and find the problem of cleaner production in different industries and different corporations. So, the purpose of this thesis is to construct a system to assess the cleaner production performance in hotels, based on the characters of this industry.According to the principles and the requirements of cleaner production evaluation, the characters of cleaner production in hotels are analyzed in the thesis, and the assessment indicators system is constructed consulting relative standards of our country;the weights of the indicators are worked out by AHP;the relevant standards are enacted based on statistical data;the holistic performance level is counted by the compositive assessment method and the rating standard is set up by theories on assessment performance of corporations. An integrated cleaner production performance assessment system in hotel industry is constructed in this thesis.Taking Dalian Shangri-la Hotel as backgound, the assessment system is demonstrated. The result shows that the environmental benefit, social benefit and the economic benefit in the operation of the hotel are all improved after the carrying out of cleaner production, and it proves the validity of the strategy of cleaner production;the result also shows that the cleaner production performance of Dalian Shangri-la Hotel in 2005 is just reach the domesticfundamental level which is a poor condition and the condition is accordant with the hotel's current practical condition;through analyzing the assessment result and the research in the hotel, the problems in the hotel's cleaner production are found out, and the thesis also gives a series of relevant advices.The practical application demonstrates that: the cleaner production performance assessment system constructed in this thesis can reflect the dynamic change and static level of hotels' cleaner production performance, can help hotels find problems and potential, can direct the progress of cleaner production. So it is valid and practical, and can be an approach to assess hotels' cleaner production performance. |
