Evaluating Urban Competitiveness In The City Of Anyang

The author analyzed the actuality of urban competition in 11cities of the northernland of Henan province, focused on the orientation of building Anyang as theregionally central city. The author designed the evaluating index of urban competition,using the method of principal factor analysis and adopting the liner adding-weightfunction model to compute the score of each city. Based on the scores, the authorordered the 11 cities and distinguished them into three types and found that Anyangcity have been or being the regionally central city of the northern land of Henanprovince, which meant that the municipality' city orientation was accurate anddown-to-earth. In the end, the seven advices were advanced to improve thecompetition.
