The incoming of knowledge economy makes high-tech enterpriseplay more important rolein national economy, a new increasing point forscience economy. With the China joining WTO,high-tech enterprises are facing severe competence.High-tech, the dominant technology ininformation age is the most important growth point of national economy. The internationalcompetitiveness in high-techindustry indicates the national economic power of a country. In thisthesis, through the Shenzhen compare of the competitiveness conditions in high-tech industriesof various Shenzhen and the portrait compare of certain country city's high-tech industrycompetitiveness in different time periods, the status in international high-tech industry can beknown which will help the Shenzhen government in macro-economic polices-making.In this thesis, the meaning of international competitiveness, the definitionandidentification of high-tech industry were discussed first. Then it analysesthetheoretical basis of international competitiveness of high-tech industry research,such as the classical economic theory, comparative economic theory, comparativeadvantage and competitive advantage theory. On the basis of globe competitivenessevaluation system of IMD, research methods developed by Michael. E. Port on theindustry competitiveness and research done by other scholars, taking the features ofhigh-tech industry into consideration, it brings forward the research model ofinternational competitiveness of high-tech industries, gives the index system andevaluation methods for international competitiveness of high-tech industry. Misty andmany factors, many level of structureses of adoptions synthesize to adjudicate themethod to compute to synthesize to adjudicate the worth evaluation method itevaluates the international competitiveness of high-tech industry of Santa ClaraAmerica, Sinchu Taiwan, Bangalore India and Shenzhen China in recent years.
