County economy is a basic unit of national economic system in china, more thanhalf of the impoverished counties in china are in western regions, and theimpoverished population accounts for 90 percent of the whole. Therefore, the researchand promotion of Chinese western county economy becomes an important researchsubject which ensures national economic equilibrium and sustainable development.This thesis bases on explicitly basic connotation of county economy. First, thestatus quo of Chinese county economy and reasons of uneven development of easternand western economy are analyzed in depth on the perspective of macroeconomy.After that, operation significance of the development of Chinese western countyeconomy is illuminated. Taking yongning county as the specific subject investigated,the general competitiveness is systematically evaluated by synthetically making use ofbasic competitiveness evaluation system of county economy and deepcompetitiveness evaluation system. Started with industrial restructuring of countyeconomy, the current research production of industrial structure at home and abroad isanalyzed. And then, the issue of industrial structure existing in yongning countyeconomy is profoundly revealed by the analysis of peidi-clark principle, kuzilieziempirical rule, hophiman theorem, tertiary industries pace of change, and binary state .Finally, further using bias-of-share analysis method, benefit transcendence multipliermethod and so on, superior and inferior position of industrial development inyongning county is evaluated. At the same time, combined with recent industrialstructure and the status of technical levels, the orientation of agricultural developmentis reasonably confirmed, and the leading industry is soundly chosen through leadingindustry theory.
