| Shenzhen New Era Drinking Water Science and Tech Co., Ltd. is the leadingenterprise in the national water dispenser industry. To decrease a relatively highlogistics cost and to improve delayed delivery in some areas, this paper tries to pointout the existing problems and put forward solutions for improvement based on theunderstanding and analysis on the present logistics system of the company.Via empirical and statistic analyses, this paper solves the problems in thelogistics system of the company which lead to low efficiency and profitability,problems including redundancy in the factories' logistics system in the southern China,some unnecessary and unreasonable transportations, slow feedback of the saleslogistics system in the southwestern China, and dispersed management functions.With all problems solved, the company becomes more competitive, the managementnow regards logistics more seriously, and it is easy to improve the logistics systemfurther.Through the improvement for the system studied, we can conclude the companyis able to decrease its logistics costs, to improve its service and to keep to improve.This study may also inspire other similar companies to improve their logistics systemas well.The contributions made here are to apply the related theories and methodologiesto solve the real problems in an enterprise's logistics system, and to explore theconcrete avenues to amelioration of logistics system in enterprises.This paper falls into six chapters:The first chapter, introduction, introduces the basic conditions of the company,explains the background, effect and significance of this study and, meanwhile,displays the development and present situation in enterprises' logistics both at homeand abroad.The second chapter gives the main concepts of enterprise logistics and basictheory and methodology for study on enterprise logistics, including the theory andmethodology employed in this study.The third chapter comprehensively shows the picture of the company's generalconditions in logistics system as well as the current situation of logistics operationrespectively in supply, production and sales.The fourth chapter is the nucleus of this paper. First of all, problems to be solvedand ideas of solving them are proposed;analysis is made respectively of supplylogistics, production logistics and sales logistics in the system;the irrationalconditions in the production and sales logistics are addressed and the suggestions forimprovement are raised. Lastly, related problems in the integration process of logisticsin the company are analyzed and opinions for improvement are put forward.The fifth chapter sizes up the effect of the proposal for improvement, includingan analysis on logistics cost and level of customer service.The sixth chapter brings the paper to an end by providing the conclusion. |
