With market competition intensifying, more attention paid to the Logistics Management, logistics cost reducing and services improving now become the focus of logistics management.For gas enterprises, because of their products' speciality, high cost and high-risk are the most important characteristics in the logistics of gas business. And the third party logistics enterprises in the gas industry are still in the initial development phase, so the logistics cost is the largest part in the total cost of the gas industry. And the low utilization and slow liquidity are the reason of the low input-output fund ratio. All these characteristics increased the difficulty of the logistics management. In order to survive and develop in the severe competition market, gas enterprises should take great efforts to change the backward logistics management and break through the bottleneck.Basing on the status of gas logistics management, particularly on the problems, the paper first says that it is necessary and urgent to change the level of the gas logistics management. Then the paper pointed out the basic approach, it is important to improve service as well as reduce cost for improving logistics management.And then, according the gas customers demand characteristics and the demand forecasting methods of the predecessors, the paper takes the sales of ABC company for example and forecasts its demand in 2006, using the season index and line regression methods.
