Case Study On Investment And Risk Control For China Infrastructure Construction Projects

As a basic industry of national economy, transportation is one of the essentialcomponent and foundation to keep national production and operation normally andaccelerate the economic development. In fast developing period of China'smodernization process, transportation is getting even more important in Chineseeconomy. As a vital part of transportation, infrastructure construction has great impacton development of other industries, and market efficiency and improvement ofinvestment environment. This paper introduces and compares project financingmethods for infrastructure contruction in China and other countries, with emphasis onBOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) project finance method. After introducing main forms,main process and contract content of BOT, we analyz legal circumstance for BOT inChina, and indicated actual legal obstacles during operating period of BOT projects inChina. Thereafter, we analyze investment analysis, risk control and main problems inprocess of BOT projects with cases and bring out solutions.
