Product warranty plays an important role in the product sale, and as product's price,function, brand, it is a significant factor when a customer buys products. Product warrantybecomes a powerful tool increasingly for enterprises to improve competence and developmarket. Many companies attach more and more importance to the product warrantymanagement, but there are still a lot of problems.Product warranty' study involves Engineering technique, Management, Economics,Law, etc. This dissertation mainly focuses on the product warranty management system andwarranty cost estimation method. Many foreign researchers have studied product warrantyfrom different aspects, however, they have not put forward complete product warrantymanagement system. The warranty cost estimation methods they gave are deficient.Domestic researchers have studied rarely the problem, consequently, the results are notsystemic and the applicable field of it is relatively small.Firstly, this dissertation describes the basic theories and models of product warrantyand warranty cost. Furthermore, this dissertation proposes the enterprise product warrantymanagement system, which includes responsibility system and engineering system basedon product warranty information sharing. In the responsibility system, the productmanagement department's organization structure, work content, product strategic planning,product warranty designing, product warranty responsibility management are studied. In theengineering system, the author discusses how developing product warranty work on theproduct designing, manufacturing, selling stages, and introduces application of FMEA andTaguchi Methods in the engineering system. Finally, considering the facts of affectingwarranty cost, the author proposes a Neural Network model to estimate product warrantycost, and uses the MatLab software to simulate the model.
